enclosed pro

The definitive indoor skydiving facility.

Championship-grade performance. Precision engineering. The platform two FAI World Championships were built around.

World Championship standard

Official FAI World Championships in indoor skydiving have been held since 2015. AERODIUM hosted the 2018 edition in Bahrain and the 2024 edition in Macau — both times selected on the basis of airflow performance, cooling capability, and chamber design.

The athletes who competed confirmed what the selection committee concluded: this is among the finest competition platforms in the world.

for pro’s

The Pro serves a wide spectrum, and that breadth is a commercial strength. One facility, multiple revenue streams, year-round.

First-time flyers. Spacious chamber. Smooth airflow. For first-time guests, the Pro makes flight feel effortless — and unforgettable.

Body-fliers. The 4.3-metre chamber is the current global competition standard — the diameter that allows four athletes to fly simultaneously at the performance level serious bodyfliers demand.

Skydivers. Weather-independent training. Refine body position, timing, and awareness — any day, without an aircraft.

Paratroopers. Full-equipment military training at the power levels required to simulate real-world freefall conditions.

in every detail

At this level, design is the first experience. Visitors judge a venue before they fly. The Pro is engineered to command attention before the fans switches on.

Flight chamber design. Every angle, material, and proportion is resolved. The tunnel is the centrepiece.

Show effects. Integrated lighting and atmosphere transform every flight into a performance — for the audience as much as the flyer.

Premium materials. Every touchpoint reflects the investment — from the flight suit to the glass, nothing is incidental.

AERODIUM doesn’t cut corners. It engineers them out.

SUPERIOR SAFETY

AERODIUM enclosed tunnels are equipped with patented, industry-leading safety features.

  • Impact Reduction System. Proprietary technology that converts the chamber floor into an active, trampoline-response surface — absorbing high-fall energy and protecting the flyer in the moment it matters most.
  • Fly Wheel Technology. A high-mass steel fan hub stores rotational energy — maintaining sufficient airflow for a safe landing in the event of power loss.
  • Carbon fan blades. Carbon-fibre blades. Fatigue-resistant by nature. No degradation, no replacement cycle, no structural compromise over time.

B.A.S.E. jump chamber

The B.A.S.E. jumping feature — an AERODIUM innovation since 2012. Controlled exits from elevation, replicating aircraft departure dynamics. Indoor free-fall training, one step closer to reality.

The B.A.S.E. feature has become essential for professional skydivers and military operators — training the most critical phase of any jump: the exit. Body position, balance, and stability at the moment of departure determine everything that follows. The tunnel allows that moment to be rehearsed, corrected, and perfected — safely and repeatedly — before it happens for real.

designed for

Pro training

Our wind tunnels are capable of providing up to 300 km/h air velocity. The air is smooth in every corner of the tunnel enabling performers to perfect flying skills and feel as close to real skydiving as possible. Perform static head-down with the industry’s highest air flow speed offered. Enclosed Pro wind tunnels perfectly fit all requirements for professional indoor skydiver training and the growing Pro skydiver community around the world.

Shows and competitions

Acrobatic shows for spectators. Sound and Light, special effects, and themed accessories are available. Great visibility with a glass flying chamber of up to 11 meters.
R4 model allows organizing large-scale indoor skydiving competitions in all major disciplines. “Gravity” (R4 model by AERODIUM) in Bahrain hosted the World Cup of Indoor Skydiving in 2018.

Experience flights

Anyone can fly starting at age 4! Flying in a wind tunnel or skydiving simulator is safe, no previous experience is needed. This unique activity is an exciting experience for everybody and has to be included in everyone’s bucket list.

Military training

Paratroopers and special forces can train essential skills for skydiving in any weather conditions. Pro tunnels not only ensure efficient training of movements, coordination, and teamwork but also present a safe and secure environment.

target location

Indoor skydiving centres

Create a unique sports destination for extreme sports lovers. It can be a standalone location or part of a larger entertainment centre. Aerodium team of engineers and architects will help you design a real masterpiece, where technology meets modern lifestyle.

High-end shopping malls

In recent years shopping centres have been looking for ways how to distinguish themselves and how to increase footfall. With Covid-19 changing purchasing habits of people, shopping malls can choose to build a wind tunnel to attract people to their location.

Military training premises

A closed facility at an army base allows training at any time, day or night, and coordinating different movements without civilians watching. A large tunnel will provide enough capacity to systematically train soldiers of various ranks.

FAQ

What is the capacity of Aerodium vertical wind tunnels?

Vertical wind tunnels have a maximum capacity of 25 flights per hour with a flight time of 2 minutes per person.

Passive Capacity: Spectators love watching people fly in wind tunnels, including acrobatic tricks by pro flyers. The entertainment value of this attraction makes it the perfect anchor for alternative revenue sources like food and beverage, retail products, sponsorship opportunities, and corporate and competitive events.

Why are permanent installations more expensive than open-air?

Classic permanent installations require large-scale building constructions, often involving excavations to accommodate return air chambers. Everything together makes a rather massive construction with high costs. In contrast, open-air wind tunnels do not need a foundation and can be placed on any even surface, such as a parking lot.

Franchise or outright ownership?

You have a choice between both – franchising and outright ownership. With outright ownership, you have more freedom to operate the business as you wish. The downside is that it will require a much deeper involvement and building your own brand. In the franchise option, you would get a full support package and the renowned Aerodium branding, which both will facilitate running the business.

How big is the flight zone?

The size of a tunnel is measured most commonly by the diameter of the flight chamber. The larger the diameter, the more people can fly simultaneously. The most common size is 14 ft (4.3 m), which is required by pro skydivers and for competitions. However, recently smaller sized tunnels are becoming increasingly popular, as they are more efficient for training beginners and more affordable for the general public. But generally, wind tunnels from 2m up to 9.8m in diameter can be found.
