A decade ago the dominant mindset was – the bigger the tunnel, the better. It can also be called a skydiver approach because their goals were to improve skydiving skills. Things have changed.

Nowadays the majority of investors is looking for technology with excellent performance, which at the same time ensures a reasonable payback time.

This Semi-Pro concept is designed for such clients. The focus of this model is profitability, but at the same time it provides an amplitude of fun and training possibilities for skydivers.

compact technology

Compact technology means lower investment and easier integration possibilities. While the ticket price for the experience remains the same as in large-scale tunnels, this technology ensures faster return on investment.

Investment wise this model saves on list of things like technology, shipment, installation etc. It also saves on ongoing operational costs.

Integration wise the Semi-Pro model allows saving on the space required. You can have more space for other revenue activities and capitalise on the space available.

modular design

Traditional recirculation tunnel technology requires significant local construction works because the biggest part of airflow channel is built from concrete.

This model is inspired by modular design and uses self-contained frame to support the technology. And some parts can already be assembled at the factory.

When you have fulfilled your business plan at a particular location or want to change focus, it is possible to relocate the wind tunnel to another location, if necessary.

versatile

Beginner flyers have everything they need in this tunnel – a place to experience bodyflying and a training facility where to progress.

Professional flyers will find sufficient airflow to master complicated skydiving body positions like sit fly and head down.

For the acrobats, this tunnel is a great show stage where they can express creative talent and attract spectators with flight shows.

Signature features

Semi-Pro model contains top safety and entertainment features.

  • B.A.S.E. chamber. An optional feature for experienced flyers simulating a B.A.S.E. jump exit in a controlled environment at the top of the flight chamber.
  • Impact Reduction System. Our latest invention turns the safety net at the bottom of the flight chamber into a trampoline as impact absorption surface in cases of high falls.
  • Fly Wheel Technology. A heavy steel hub for fan blades ensures higher air inertia in case of power outage and provides flyers with sufficient airflow for a safe landing.

What is the capacity of Aerodium vertical wind tunnels?

Vertical wind tunnels have a maximum capacity of 25 flights per hour with a flight time of 2 minutes per person.

Passive Capacity: Spectators love watching people fly in wind tunnels, including acrobatic tricks by pro flyers. The entertainment value of this attraction makes it the perfect anchor for alternative revenue sources like food and beverage, retail products, sponsorship opportunities, and corporate and competitive events.

Why are permanent installations more expensive than open-air?

Classic permanent installations require large-scale building constructions, often involving excavations to accommodate return air chambers. Everything together makes a rather massive construction with high costs. In contrast, open-air wind tunnels do not need a foundation and can be placed on any even surface, such as a parking lot.

Franchise or outright ownership?

You have a choice between both – franchising and outright ownership. With outright ownership, you have more freedom to operate the business as you wish. The downside is that it will require a much deeper involvement and building your own brand.
