The latest generation AERODIUM wind tunnel will establish indoor skydiving in Macau
Installation of Model R4 - the latest indoor vertical wind tunnel model - is in progress at Lisboeta integrated resort. Macau is waiting for the new attraction to open in May, 2020.
In 2018 Macau Theme Park and Resorts Limited (MTPR) unveiled its latest integrated resort concept, Lisboeta, which draws on images of old Macau and introduces three new hotel brands to Macau.
To me, it is a long-term investment, said Mr. Mr. Arnaldo Ho Yau Heng, director of Macau Theme Park and Resort, also adding that instead of being a full theme park, the concept would be an integrated resort.
Known as the ‘Vegas of China’, Macau is an epicentre of gambling and glitz. While luxury entertainment here is world-class, the city has much more to offer than that. Macau was a Portuguese colony for 300 years, a heritage marked by a wonderful cultural “melting pot” that manifests itself in all aspects of life: Chinese temples stand on maritime-themed Portuguese tiles; the sound of Cantonese permeates streets with Portuguese names; and when you’re hungry, it could be Chinese dim sum, pastéis de nata (Portuguese egg tarts) or Macanese minchi (ground meat stir-fried with potatoes) that come to the rescue.
First in Macau
The latest generation enclosed wind tunnel from AERODIUM will be one of the most thrilling activities in LISBOETA resort, owned by Macau Theme Park and Resort Ltd. Thise unique Macau-themed premier integrated entertainment and leisure resort is the first of its kind, and will introduce many offerings new to Macau and the region, delivering an all-encompassing experience sure to entice guests of all ages, especially families and a younger demographic.
Featuring a total investment of over 600 million USD, Lisboeta will be more than 106 000 square meters (1 140 000 square feet) large and- will offer many thrilling activities, hotels, food & beverages etc. The project will open on May, 2020.
Indoor skydiving in Lisboeta, as the first in the South China region, will inhabit a fully frame less glass tunnel, offering players a seamless panoramic perspective.
