About Wall-to-Wall open tunnels

These tunnels allow people to enjoy indoor flying. Wall-to-Wall Open tunnels have glass wall around the air-stream, wider flying zone and higher wind speed than open type tunnels. It is an advantage for experienced flyers who are training for different flying positions and for paratroopers who are training with full equipment.

Business application

Wall-to-wall tunnels are mostly used as a stand-alone business for serving active lifestyle seekers and for professional and military training.

Usability

One beginner fly at a time irrespective of the diameter of the air-stream. The biggest open wall-to-wall tunnel allows training for 6 experienced persons at a time. Beginners can fly up to 4 meters on their own or in full height of the tunnel in tandem with experienced instructors. It is possible to sell up to 50-55 minutes of flying time per each hour. This doesn’t apply for professional flyers that book the tunnel for a full hour or more.

Safety

This is a unique activity where experienced instructors work face-to-face with beginner flyers. Even more there are two persons overlooking each customer: one is experienced instructor in the airflow, the other is airflow operator who adjusts wind speed according to a particular client. These tunnels have safety nets above and below the flying zone. It is not possible to fly out of the tunnel.

Air speed

up to 230 km/h (143 mph)

Noise level

less than 90 dBA near noise reduction walls, 115 dBA in the center of the airstream. These tunnels are not designed for installation in residential areas because of the relatively high noise level.

Limitations

If the air temperature falls below 0*C then flying in these tunnels is not comfortable. It is comfortable to fly even in rainy weather conditions.
