CHALLENGE

To create, implement and operate a pavilion at World Expo 2010, where visitors are treated to an unforgettable experience of flying.

We created a team of architects (Mailitis A.I.I.M.), entertainment industry professionals, marketing strategist, builders, flyers, and sound and light specialists.

After 7 months of construction, the pavilion was completed and ready for launch.

The central element of the pavilion was a fast and silent wind tunnel, where every half-hour, shows with light and music were demonstrated.

Between shows, a few lucky people were chosen from the audience and offered a chance to experience miracle of flying themselves.

Open-air shows were demonstrated in the evenings. These shows were complemented with projections on the dynamic facade of the pavilion along with stunt performances on three open-type tunnels.

1.5 million visitors experienced the miracle of flying within a period of six months. The pavilion got international media attention and won the recognition of artists, diplomats and Expo organisers. It was nominated as a “must see” pavilion.

The idea of flying is limitless.
