We will fly at Camel Beauty Competition
On April 13, AERODIUM will demonstrate a flight show during final ceremony of the biggest camel beauty pageant, referred to as the “Miss Camel”competition in Saudi Arabia. More than 50,000 camels from various Gulf countries compete for 31 million US dollars in prizes.
This is a 12 miles long pageant in desert, in Riyadh province. Competitors are camels of all colors and breeds.
The most beautiful among the thousands of competitors are judged on various features: the size of its head, the length of its neck, the roundness and height of its hump, where the hump sits, the size of its eyes, how the long lashes are, how low the nose droops, whether the ears stand back and many others.
The pageant is an annual competition that began in 1999, when a group of local Bedouins decided they wanted to stage a contest for the most beautiful camel. This is a part of the prestigious“Mayazan al – Ibl”heritage festival, which attracts over 2 million people from around the world to celebrate ancient traditions.
